• Secure sponsorship (advertising) deals, including Gleebooks, and raffle items
• Advertise the conference (e.g. mailing lists and websites)
• Call for Papers
• Call for Volunteers (lecture bashing/ask staff to put in lecture slides, mailing lists, facebook, webCT, etc.)
• Organise postering (both taking to other conferences and, closer to the conference weekend, on campus)
• Director also functions as main media contact
