Free Linguistics Conference 2010

The aim of this conference is to provide scholars, researchers, postgraduate and undergraduate students with current research issues from all fields of linguistics & TESOL an open and widely accessible forum.

The main feature that distinguishes this conference is its focus on freedom:

  • freedom from linguistic subfield divisions;
  • freedom from an established and rigid theme for presentations, and;
  • freedom from fees.

The 4rd Annual International Free Linguistics Conference will be held in the Eastern Avenue Auditorium Complex, on Eastern Avenue, The University of Sydney, Camperdown Campus on the 9th and 10th of October, 2010.

The featured focus speakers shall be:

  • Eva Bernat(University of New South Wales, Australia) (abstract);
  • Michele de Courcy (University of Melbourne, Australia) (abstract);
  • Dominique Estival (University of Sydney, Australia) (abstract);
  • John S. Knox (Macquarie University, Australia) (abstract);
  • Edgar Schneider(University of Regensburg, Germany) (abstract);
  • Farzad Sharifian (Monash University, Australia) (abstract);

There will be a proceedings to be published from this year's Free Linguistics Conference. All presenters will be emailed following the conference with information and you will then be asked to submit your paper within a deadline to be announced.
